After shooting in the mall for a half hour, I was unceremoniously thrown out. For some reason, mall owners really don't like people to take photographs of escalators. We love escalators and especially the look people get in their eyes when they ride them — it's the million-mile-look. You find the same expression in elevators. This far-away, suspended animation look.
