Step One

The easiest way to open the program is to select onOne > PhotoTune 3 > PhotoTune 3. You'll need to have an image already open in Photoshop.

When this is done, PhotoTune 3 will open in its own window.

Step Two

Your first option is Dynamic Range. The image on the left is your original. Move the slider until the image on the right is more to your liking, then click inside that image to jump to the next step.

Step Three

Auto Color is this step. The image on the right shows the result. If you like what's automatically been done, click on it. Otherwise, click in the left image to bring up a series of steps to make your own adjustments — which is what we did here.

Step Four

Here's where it gets fun.

These next few steps are like getting tested for glasses. You move the slider and as you do, both images will change. This is a great and intuitive method as it makes you really inspect both images carefully until you get to where you want to be.

This particular step control brightness.

Step Five

Color cast removal is your next step.

You'll see warmer on your left and cooler on your right. Again, just move the slider and inspect both images until you have what you like.

Click the best looking image and move to the next step.

Step Six

And here you get a more refined adjustment on removing color cast.

Same as above, move your sliders until one of the images is the best, then click that image.

Step Seven

And yet another step to refine the color cast even more.

Step Eight

This is your last refinement for adjusting color cast.

Step Nine

You're now down to the final step — sharpness.

If you don't want any sharpening, click the left image. Otherwise, move your slider to bring in more sharpening which will be seen on your right image.

Once, you have it where you want it, click that image and your done.

Step Ten

You're now done! It's hard to see in this low-resolution image, but the "after" image, to the right, is actually much better.

And the excellent thing is that all of these steps took about 2 minutes!
