Step One

The easiest way to open the program is to select onOne > PhotoTune 3 > PhotoTune 3. You'll need to have an image already open in Photoshop.
When this is done, PhotoTune 3 will open in its own window.
Step Two

Here's where you make your selection for "Images With People".
Step Three

The first step is Dynamic Range, circled in green. If you want to jump back and forth between steps, click the arrows that will always be next to the big, red step number.
Generally, dynamic range is contrast. Move the slider, circled in red, until the right image ("after") is better looking than the original, on the left.
When you're there, simply click inside the right image to move to the next step.
Step Four

This step is "Auto Color".
The color of the image has been automatically adjusted and all you have to do is click inside the image that looks better to you. In this case, I chose the right image although the color change was so slight, I couldn't tell the difference.
Step Five

Brightness is the next step and this one is a fun adjustment to make and very intuitive.
Move the Less/More slider and both images will change; one gets a bit brighter and the other a bit darker.
Move the slider until you find one side that looks the best and click inside that image.
Step Six

Now on to adjusting the skin tone.
Your eye-dropper tool will be automatically selected. Click on an area of skin that's a mid-tone — not too bright, not too dark. In this image, I've clicked on the arm, circled in blue.
You'll notice that the slider, circled in red, is not active. There's nothing to do here other than click on a skin mid-tone and you will jump to the next step where you can now make adjustments.
Step Seven

Move the slider around to adjust the warmth of the skin.
As in a previous step, both images will change as you move the slider. Compare both, and click inside the image that looks the best.
Step Eight

The last adjustment to make is Sharpness.
The image on the left will have no sharpening and your slider will adjust the sharpness of only the right image.
Careful here. It's very easy to over-sharpen skin and make it look horrible.
If you don't want to add any sharpening, click inside the left image. Otherwise, click the right image.
Step Nine

You're now done! The only thing left to do is click "Apply" to accept the adjustments and return to the adjusted image in Photoshop, or click "Cancel" to return to the original image in Photoshop.
If you've made a complete mess of it, just click the "back" arrows next to the big, red step number on the bottom left and start all over again.
